Curriculum pathways
Different pathways. Personalised support.
St Ronalds supports learners across four recognised curriculum pathways. Our main focus is CAPS and American GED, while support is also available for IEB and Cambridge learners.
American GED
Guided preparation for the American GED pathway, helping learners build subject knowledge, study habits and confidence as they work towards the required assessments.
IEB
Learning support for students following an IEB-aligned programme, with a calm environment in which to complete their work and receive individual assistance.
Cambridge
Support for learners using Cambridge programmes, including help with daily coursework, planning, understanding concepts and working consistently towards their goals.
We provide a supportive learning environment and day-to-day academic assistance. The most suitable pathway depends on the learner’s age, goals and individual circumstances.

Structure, support and room to breathe
Academic hours are from 08:00 to 12:30, with two 20-minute breaks. Our doors open at 06:30 for early drop-off, and aftercare remains open until 18:00.

Our doors open for families who need an early drop-off before the academic programme begins.
08:00 — Academics begin
Learners begin their structured curriculum work with guidance and individual support.
09:30–09:50 — First break
A short pause during the morning to eat, move and recharge.
Focused learning continues
Coursework, explanations, revision and help with challenging concepts.
11:00–11:20 — Second break
Another short break before the final academic work of the morning.
12:30 — Academics end
Homeschool learners who are not enrolled in aftercare must be collected between 12:30 and 13:30. Aftercare continues until 18:00.
Fees
Clear, straightforward fees
The St Ronalds homeschool fee and the chosen curriculum provider’s fee are paid separately. No additional learning material fee is charged by St Ronalds.

Curriculum provider fees are not included in the St Ronalds homeschool fee.
Payment terms
When fees are payable
- The R3,200 homeschool fee is charged monthly from the learner’s starting month through to the final payment on 1 November.
- A learner joining during the year starts paying from the first day of the agreed starting month—for example, 1 July or 1 August—and continues through 1 November.
- Monthly payment must reflect no later than the 1st.
- If payment has not been received, student support and access are terminated from the 5th calendar day of that month.
